Condition is VERY GOOD ; covers toned with a few tiny faint spots, rear has a tiny dent. Spine slightly more toned. Corners and spine ends bumped with light wear. Binding tight. Booksellers note in pencil on ffep, text clean and unmarked. The 3 maps are all very good, the final one has a little chipping to the cut edge that sticks out. Hist. RGR.

Laid in is a short typed letter signed to Newhouse thanking him for his help in the chapter on the Nile waters (which he avers is his favourite chapter in the book!).
