Itinéraire et Théâtre de la Guerre entre les Armées d'Egypte et les Wahébis depuis 1812 jusqu'en 1827. Bon état (rel. lég. frottée) pour cet ouvrage passionnant qui détaille sous forme épistolaire les nombreuses réformes mais aussi le massacre des Janissaires, les expéditions dans le Hedjaz (à la Mecque contre les wahabites) ou les événement de Grèce (notamment le siège et la prise de Mssolonghi). Edizione originale di questa raccolta di lettere dall'Egitto scritte al Conte De Laborde da… questo alto ufficiale dell'esercito, che aveva servito nell'esercito Napoleonico. Planat tra il 1823 e il 1828 soggiornò in Egitto, incaricato da Mehemet Ali di formare e modernizzare le truppe dell'esercito egiziano. L'esperienza africana permise all'autore di raccogliere una infinità di informazioni e riflessioni su usi, costumi e situazione politica. Ottimo esemplare. Book.
