"His poetry often reflected the agony of his experiences - a dirge for the grandmother he left in Russia; a diatribe to those who killed his fellow Jews in the concentration camps of World War II; verses of determination as he grappled with the aging process." Foreword by Robert Bly. Illustrated throughout with tipped in full-color prints by his wife Polia Pillin. In addition to his poetry, Pillin was known for the artistic pottery he and Polia produced. One of 1200 copies designed by George Hitchcock and printed by Big Trees Press in Felton, California. 71 pp. Very near fine in illustrated wrappers.
