Couverture rigide. Zustand: Très bon. Edition originale. Circa 423 pages, illustration couleur. Tiré à 600 exemplaires. "Cette édition présente un certain nombre de "produits dérivés". Ils constituent un moment récurrent dans ma "chronique du tableau". Périodiquement, tous les six ou huit mois, cette récréation vient faire image en regard au tableau. Ce désoeuvrement est comblé par la copie approximative des peintures au moyen de crayons de couleur. Le dessin ne peut pas être une étape préparatoire. C'est le premier temps de peinture du tableau qui en a la charge. Ce dessin intervient à contretemps, il est un constat donnant raison à la peinture. Les petits tableaux réalisés au cours de la même période, se matérialisent par un lot d'une dizaine de châssis standards de petits formats. Ces châssis sont entoilés avec les chutes de toile provenant des tableaux de l'année. Chaque toile est désignée par un marquage central noir. Je les considère comme des dessins. Depuis 2002 une autre activité de ce retrait consiste à réaliser des impressions numériques en noir et blanc. Ces produits portent le nom de "poncif ", en référence à cette ancienne technique de reproduction. Ces dessins piquetés voyaient s'accomplir leur duplication par le frottage d'une poudre noire. Poncif est à double sens puisqu'il notifie aussi que chaque situation picturale a déjà existé. Tous ces produits dérivés sont des pièces uniques. Ils sont à "usage intime". C'est une étape nécessaire dans ma pratique, ils soulignent la banalisation de la transfiguration picturale. La publication est réalisée à échelle1 par rapport aux" produits dérivés ", sa simplicité image ces moments de retrait et de silence." B.P.
