Purple cloth with blank and gold impressing. Bevelled edges. Binding loosening with front board and spine detached from text block. Some marks and discolouration to cloth. Corners bumped. Spine faded with tears in ends. Front free endpaper detached, has ink inscription. Title page and about half the pages detached at front. Pencil drawings of human figures and animals throughout book; these show much skill but why didn't the artist buy a sketchbook?
