German-born Yehuda Leo Picard (1900-97) moved to Palestine in 1924, where he established the Department of Geology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His "Structure and Evolution of Palestine" (1943) would become a primary source on Israel's geology, and he would serve as the first president of the Israel Geological Society during 1951-53. The USGS recognised his numerous contributions to the study of Jordan during 1928-65, and cited his work on the Peninsula. The recipient is August Buxtorf (1877-1969), a petroleum geologist with experience in Egypt, Burma and India. At this time he was Professor at the University of Basel where he had organised its Geology and Paleontology Institute, and President of the Swiss Geological Commission. Rare with Worldcat and Library Hub locating 12 institutions between them. (Ref. Il débute dans les années 90, en collaboration avec latelier Jacomet. C'est aux côtés de Garouste, Arroyo, Debré et Moebius quil réalise ses premières estampes. En 2013 il participe à la création de latelier DPJ à Sète spécialisé dans la gravure. Latelier édite de nombreuses estampes avec Combas, Di rosa , Ocampo, Pencreach, Ichiba. Par la suite il crée sa propre maison d'éditions " Medium Rare ", et collabore avec Jean-Michel Alberola, Willem, Charles Burns, Paquito Bolino, Pat Andréa.
