Multi-layered gilt turn-ins. bordering leather insets. Marbled end-papers. Silk bookmarks. A simply gorgeous production. The binding is signed by Little, Brown & Co., who went on to publish the American edition and likely took the sheets from the Irish Edition, which was the first, and had them bound for a specific customer.
