Redécouverte d'un véritable chef-d'?uvre de l'aube du XVe siècle, période charnière de la peinture occidentale, transition entre le Moyen Âge et la Renaissance. ?uvre insigne de la production artistique de la Renaissance française, le triptyque de la Vierge glorieuse, réalisé vers 1498 par Jean Hey, à la demande de Pierre II de Bourbon et d'Anne de France, a fait l'objet d'une restauration exceptionnelle entre 2022 et 2025. Pour mener à bien cette opération financée par l'État, la Drac Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes s'est appuyée sur un comité scientifique constitué de spécialistes de la conservationrestauration et de la peinture du XVe siècle, ainsi que sur l'expertise du Centre de recherche et de restauration des musées de France (C2RMF), où l'oeuvre a été restaurée. Un travail d'envergure, réalisé par les équipes du C2RMF et les restaurateurs, a permis de révéler les secrets de la création de Jean Hey et de ranimer la richesse originelle de la composition.
