Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. With a captioned tissue-protected colour frontispiece and nineteen colour plates, all with captioned tissue-protectors present. A trace of very light occasional spotting to the tissue protectors and to the unprinted reverse of the plate leaves. A virtually fine copy. No dust wrapper called for. The British edition of a book first published in the US in 1939, this deluxe issue an absolute delight.
