With a chapter by Philip Brownrigg (1911-98), one of Ian Fleming's closest friends. Both attended Eton and Brownrigg was a golfing partner of Fleming, recruited by him to join Kemsley Newspapers after the war. He later worked for DeBeers and helped Fleming research for Diamonds are Forever and The Diamond Smugglers. This copy is from the prize-winning Ian Fleming Bibliographical Archive, assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencilled ownership within). Gilbert, p.636.

First published in MCMXXXVII - 1937 by John Miles Limited, Amen Corner, London. Made and printed in Great Britain at the University Press, Oxford by John Johnson. There's a very nice quote by Dr. M.R. James Eton and King's that goes as follows: "Visitors come to Eton and go away calling it a Paradise for Boys. In the main they are right, and in the main I am right when I say that though no boy is going to pass through Eton without woes - very often of his own making - he is not going to find any other five or six years in his life which will pile up more memories that he is glad to keep. Nor, I think I must add, while he is here, is there much more interesting company to be found, if he is at all a fair specimen of the Eton boy." An interesting book that deserves to be preserved for future generations.
