Illustrated with 51 leaves of plates, this work is a monograph on the excavations at Te…ll ez Zuweyid, which Petrie identifies with the classical Anthedon, a fortified post in Northern Sinai, close to the modern al Arish; the earliest levels go back to about 1400 B.C., and after the beginning of the Roman period the site seems to have been abandoned in favor of other "tells" in the neighborhood. Errata slip bound in. Minor shelf wear to binding, with some discoloration along edges, and minor soiling at bottom of front cover. Ex-library stamp to top and bottom edges, bookplate on inside of front cover, and library pocket on inside of back cover. Binding in overall good, interior in very good condition.
