Illustrated with 51 leaves of plates, this work is a monograph on the excavations at Tell ez Zuweyid, which Petrie identifies with the classical Anthedon, a fortified post in Northern Sinai, close to the modern al Arish; the earliest levels go back to about 1400 B.C., and after the beginning of the Roman period the site seems to have been abandoned in favor of other "tells" in the neighborhood.
