Over 60 hours of footage was shot, which was edited down to 90 minutes. Because of the violence depicted, the film received an X certificate from the British Board of Film Censors. Nominated for the Palme d'Or. Shot on location in Puerto Rico and Jamaica. The Comedy Man: Based on the 1960 novel by Douglas Hayes.
