Noten. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Unlike other late works by Franck, the Violin Sonata of 1886 found a friendly reception among critics and public from the outset. It is dedicated to Eugène Ysaÿe, who was attracting much attention at the time with his flawless violin technique. Ysaÿe was so inspired by the Sonata that he promised 'I will play this masterpiece wherever I can find an artistically-minded pianist'. Nothing has changed to the present day regarding the work's continuing popularity, but it was time to revise Henle's previous edition to reflect the latest research. In the intervening period it has been shown that Franck was actively involved in reading the proofs for the printed edition, meaning that the first edition, which contains many differences from the autograph, has become the basis for our new one. The markings of the violin part of our edition are by Yehudi Menuhin; Daniel Hope has undertaken the changes required by the revised musical text.; Contrairement à d'autres oeuvres tardives de Franck, sa sonate pour violon (1886) fut d'emblée chaleureusement accueillie par le public et la critique. La sonate est dédiée à Eugène Ysaÿe qui, avec son impeccable technique, suscitait l'admiration de ses contemporains. Ysaÿe en était tellement enthousiasmé qu'il promit: «Je jouerai ce chef-d'oeuvre partout où je trouverai un pianiste artistique». Rien n'a altéré depuis lors l'engouement du public pour cette oeuvre, mais il était temps de réviser l'ancienne édition Henle à la lumière de l'état actuel de la recherche. Il a notamment été prouvé que Franck avait étroitement participé à la lecture des épreuves d'imprimerie, de sorte que notre nouvelle édition repose non seulement sur le manuscrit autographe, mais tient compte également des nombreuses additions que comporte la première édition. L'annotation de la partie de violon de notre édition est due à Yehudi Menuhin. Daniel Hope s'est occupé des adaptations au texte musical révisé.; Im Gegensatz zu anderen seiner Spätwerke wurde Francks 1886 komponierte Violinsonate von Anfang an bei Publikum und Kritik freundlich aufgenommen. Ysaÿe war davon so begeistert, dass er versprach: 'Ich werde dieses Meisterwerk überall spielen, wo ich einen kunstsinnigen Pianisten finde'. An der Beliebtheit des Werks hat sich bis heute nichts geändert, allerdings war es an der Zeit, die bisherige Henle-Ausgabe nach dem neuesten Stand der Forschung zu revidieren. Inzwischen lässt sich nämlich nachweisen, dass Franck aktiv bei der Lesung der Druckfahnen beteiligt war, so dass nunmehr die gegenüber dem Autograph mit zahlreichen Zusätzen versehene Erstausgabe als Basis für unsere Neu-Edition dient. Die Bezeichnung der Violinstimme unserer Ausgabe stammt von Yehudi Menuhin - die Anpassungen an den revidierten Notentext übernahm Daniel Hope.…
