Shooting script for the 1961 British film noir, here under the working title "The Man Who Knew." Loosely based on Edgar Wallace's 1918 crime novel "The Man Who Knew." A man who has arranged his business partner's murder finds his plan has gone awry when the hitman does not properly dispose of the murder weapon, which is stolen and eventually makes its way into the hands of the police. Tall white titled self wrappers, housed in a tan folder, dated September, 1960, noted as SHOOTING SCRIPT, with credits for screenwriter Robert Stewart and novelist Edgar Wallace. 55 leaves, with last page of text numbered 54. Greene's novel was set in Stockholm, and involved the internal deconstruction of a ne'er-do-well bodyguard Anthony Farrant, who finds himself working for a dubious Swedish financier whose character is loosely inspired by Ivar Kreuger.
