First Edition. 8vo, unpag.; patterned boards with printed label. One of 183 copies in the edition, this being one of 136 printed on white Shadwell paper. This copy has a terse presentation inscription by Laughlin on the first leaf: "JR/JL 1973." The recipient was the poet Jerome Rothenberg. At the time of the inscription Rothenb…erg and Laughlin were working on bringing out Rothenberg's Poland: 1931 (1974), the first of at least a dozen books he would publish with Laughlin's New Directions imprint.
