Although this copy lacks the illustrated dust jacket, it is still very scarce. An admiration of the form of the Chinese woman, from photographs by German photographer Heinz von Perckhammer who traveled to Southern China and Macao in the late 1920s. While there, he photographed women from the Macao brothels, but they posed in softer, more peaceful surroundings.
