Near contemporary half cloth over marbled boards. Spines with black leather label with gilt title. Floral endpapers. = A surprisingly rare work. Although this is the fifth edition, no complete copy of any edition (first 1898) could be found on the internet. Deals with Patagonia and Terra del Fuego. The map shows Isla de los Estados. The frontispiece shows the author in his study. Spine ends slightly frayed; pages rather toned; one text leaf in the second volume torn and re-attached, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
