Vibrant gold gilt lettering. The J in Jefferson on the front cover has had the marroon coloring spill on to the left side of the J. Cover has minor bumping to the corners. Outer edges of textblock has discoloration with lighter and darker spots. Front endpapers have a map of South Carolina. Back endpapers have a map of the U.S. and trails taken. Black and white photo of Jefferson opposite the title page. About 13 other photos and drawings throughout the book. DJ has soiling spots front and back.
