Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. Brown cloth, hardback book, with gilt title impressions, set within a blocked black box, with gilt lines, positioned nicely on the top half of the spine. The book is in reasonably good condition, normal wear and marks apply consistent with use and age. Slight fading to spine, speckles of foxi…ng to side edge of papers. No jacket or slipcase. 291 pages all intact, all pages, text and illustrations are in really good, clean readable order. Good strong tight binding. Introduction by Brian A. Marsh dated, December 1957, Tangier. The illustrator acknowledges his debt to the valuable documentation provided by the St. Marylebone Borough Council in the form of photographs of the room at 221b Baker Street, which was reconstructed by Mr Michael Weight for the Sherlock Holmes Exhibition in 1951. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is published in this edition by kind permission of the trustees of the estate of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and by arrangement with John Murray. This book has been composed in 11 point Bell one point leaded. Printed and bound by W & J Mackay & Co Ltd, Chatham. Printed in Great Britain. Another fantastic book from The Folio Society.
