Some mild strip toning on endpapers else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust wrapper, not price clipped, a little shelf worn and faded, gently rubbed at edges with a couple of small chips and scuffs. Edward Patty, better known as Budge, was an American tennis player, winner of two grand slam singles titles in 1950. He also won the Channel Slam (taking the French Open and Wimbledon titles ih the same year).
