Zustand: Fair. 1944. 28 pages. Beige pictorial boards and jacket. Inscription to front endpaper. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Boards are slightly bowed. Prominent forward lean to text block. The unclipped dust jacket has moderate edge wear, tears and chips to edges and spine ends. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. 2nd edition. Was Frank Bradlow's personal copy. The dust jacket is shelf rubbed, edge worn and foxed, but remains whole and intact. The boards are strong and sturdy. Internally, Bradlow's ex-libris plate is on the front end page and there is moderate foxing and tanning throughout. Preface by the author's mother. Good condition overall. Some tanning marks, and inscription on first page. Dust jacket also has some tanning marks.

Neat presentation from someone unknown to Ian Gilmour (Baron Gilmour of Craigmillar 1926 Ð 2007) and his wife 'For Caroline and Ian, to remember this Golden Day.' Privately printed with an intro by General Sir Henry Maitland Wilson and his mother Lady Zara Gowrie. Very good indeed.
