Text in French.This catalogue describes all the illustrated books, albums and catalogs enriched with original etchings or lithographs by Pablo Picasso belonging to Jean-Léon Steinh…auslin, a Swiss collector and owner of the only complete collection of Picasso's illustrated books.This is essentially a slightly enlarged version of the 1983 catalogue raisonné, adding two works and also on a thicker paper than the original. The two new works are the deluxe editions of the 1983 catalogue raisonné. There are now 158 works catalogued.This volume begins with a text by Professor Charles Méla, Director of the Martin Bodmer Foundation where the collection was exhibited in autumn 2006. "A Collector's Life" by Jean-Léon Steinhauslin follows, and the preface and foreword by the authors. 158 titles are then cataloged with 806 reproductions (in black and white or in color, depending on the originals) of the works they contain.Several photographs of Picasso, evoking successive periods of his life, also decorate the text.
