The Melbourne Super 8 Film Group was an independent co-operative formed in November 1985 by Bill Mousoulis and a small group of other dedicated filmmakers, most of whom were already associated with either the RMIT Super-8 Club or the Fringe Film and Video Group. It ran until December 2001, during which time it held regular screenings, published a monthly newsletter, held an annual festival, and participated in the MIFF.
