Copied from the "Encyclopédie" (17511772) edited by Diderot and d'Alembert. The images taken from the sixth volume, "Histoire Naturelle" published in 1768. The original engravings were made by Robert Bernard after François Nicolas Martinet. One plate damaged, a figure is cut. Crêpe paper leaves are also damaged. Tanning and foxing throughout. Artistically restored. Overall in good condition. In contemporary blue paper. Most of the plates are separated with crêpe paper.
