Couverture rigide. Zustand: Bon. Jacques Pontien Viée (1721-1791), négociant, bourgeois de Paris, receveur syndic en charge (en 1763), receveur des rentes (selon un des documents). L.A.S., Paris, 18 novembre 1769, 1p in-4. A Pierre-Emmanuel de Casaux (1716-1778), président à mortier au Parlement de Bordeaux. Il a réussi à obtenir le paiement de la rente de Casaux sur la Compagnie des Indes. On joint une sorte de mémoire sur les rentes de Casaux, daté de 1775, et qui fut adressé à Viée (3p in-4). Il montre les difficultés à toucher les rentes de Casaux, notamment car il ne fournissait pas de certificat de vie. Notons qu'il est fait mention du marquis de Marigny dans ce document. [217].

Botschafter in Rußland 1784-1789, in Rom 1791, der Papst weigerte sich, ihn zu empfangen; schwer verwundet in einem Duell 1792, Deputierter 1801, Mitglied des Instituts 1803, Senator 1813. Schreiben zugunsten seines Cousins Edmond de Campagne, der sich um einen Posten als Unterpräfekt bemüht. Ségur fragt Montalivet, ob sein Cousin nicht auch einen Posten im Innenministerium erhalten könnte. Mit offenbar eigenhändiger Anmerkung von Montalivet, dass er ihm den verlangten Posten im Innenministerium nicht geben könne. Sprache: französisch.

Law regulating armed protection of the trade with Mauritius and Réunion and with the French American colonies. The duties on coffee from Mauritius and Réunion are to be the same as those applicable to coffee from French America. However if a certificate of origin is not presented, it will be taxed like Mocha or any other foreign coffee. Hünersdorff, 'Coffee: A Bibliography', lists a Digne impression of the same year, see p532.

Très intéressante loi sur le premier des trois projets de canaux parisiens de cette époque. Il s'agissait de créer le canal de l'Ourcq, le canal Saint-Martin, le canal Saint Denis et le bassin de la Villette. Jean-Pierre Brullée (1733-1814) obtint donc l'autorisation en 1790. François Bossu peu de temps après, sous le Directoire, et Pierre-Simon Girard (1765-1836), sous le Consulat. Napoléon choisira ce dernier. Le but de ces travaux était d'assurer les ressources en eau potable à Paris. Peu commun. [91].

In-4, 3p. Très importante loi pour ramener le corps de Voltaire au Panthéon, après la loi du 15 mai qui l'avait fait mettre dans l'église de Romilly en attendant la translation à Paris. Bel entête « La Loi et le Roi » avec mention « Département des Ardennes ». [91].

L'article 3 précise que Mirabeau « est jugé digne de recevoir cet honneur ». Bel entête « La Loi et le Roi » avec mention « Département des Ardennes ». [91].

Meyerbeer's diary records (25 May 1853) a visit 'from Raoul Allary, who makes wind instruments. He is an opponent of Sax, and came to me because he had heard that I had spoken to the emperor on Sax's behalf' (1999 English translation of volume for 1850-1856). A pencil note at the head of the present letter identifies the subject as 'Louise Gned / 4 Rue [de] Bellefond [Paris]'. Gned (b.1810) was an Austrian soprano from a musical/theatrical family, who faded into obscurity. (Her sister Nina (1811-1874) was also an opera singer, and was married to the baritone Zacharias von Poißl.) Meyerbeer writes that he has just heard that there is a 'place de Choriste vacante à Votre Châtre', and takes the liberty of recommending to Allary's attention 'la personne qui Vous remettra ces lignes'. He describes her as 'une excellente musicienne, ancienne prima donna qui a chanté sur les premiers théâtres d'Allemagne'. It is only by 'des revers de fortune' that she is at the moment reduced to applying for the 'modeste position de Choriste'. He can personally guarantee that she is an 'excellente musicienne et elle avoit aussi quand je l'ai entendue, une très belle voix'. As she is well-acquainted with the Italian language, and has also sung in Italian theatres, 'elle pouvait encore être chargé de petits rôles'. He ends by explaining that his right arm has been troubling him for some weeks, and it this that has forced him to dictate the letter.
