Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine dj. Illustrated by (dj) Milton Glaser (illustrator). First Edition. [nice clean sharp-looking copy, with no discernible wear to book; the jacket is slightly age-toned at the edges of spinecopy, minimal shelfwear; jacket shows just a bit of wear at spine ends, very faint staining at bottom right-hand corner of front panel]. Nice copy of a book that became a kind of touchstone for young unmarried women (especially Jewish women) of a certain time and place. The book's cult following has, thankfully, long outlived the ignominious 1975 film adaptation, which among other things brought the movie career of its star, Jeannie Berlin, to a screeching halt. (If only Berlin's mom (Elaine May) had been hired to make the film.).
