Blatt Nr. 60 aus dem Werk "Recueil des Vues et Fabriques pittoresques d'Italie, dessinées d'après nature par Bourgeois" nach Motiven des Malers und Kupferstechers Florent Fidèle Constant Bourgeois (1767-1841), der dieses Werk selbst herausgegeben hatte. Dieses Blatt gestochen von Joseph Perdoux (* 1759). Zu sehen ist der Quirinalspalast in Rom. Paris, Florent Fidèle Constant Bourgeois 1804 Originaler Kupferstich, hinter Passepartout montiert. Format: Blatt 27,8 x 40,5 cm; Platte 22 x 31,5 cm, Passepartout 36 x 41,5 cm, Bildausschnitt 22 x 29,5 cm. --- Zustand: Etwas fleckig, der obere Rand etwas schief beschnitten. Der Quirinalspalast (italienisch Palazzo del Quirinale) ist ein ab 1583 errichteter Palast auf dem Quirinal in Rom. Er ist Dienstsitz des Präsidenten der Italienischen Republik. Geschichte: Das an der Piazza del Quirinale gelegene Gebäude wurde erstmals von Papst Gregor XIII. als Sommerresidenz bezogen. Ferner diente es zeitweise als Ausrichtungsort für päpstliche Konklaven und auch als Verwaltungsgebäude des ehemaligen Kirchenstaates. Im Jahr 1871 wurde Rom zur Hauptstadt des Königreiches Italien erklärt und der Palast beschlagnahmt. Eine Entschädigung erfolgte erst im Rahmen der 1929 geschlossenen Lateranverträge. Das Gebäude blieb bis 1946 Sitz der Könige von Italien. Nach Abschaffung der Monarchie übernahm es die Republik als Dienstsitz des Staatspräsidenten. --- Florent Fidèle Constant Bourgeois (5 June 1767, Guiscard - 26 June 1841, Paris) was a French landscape painter, engraver, and lithographer. He studied under David, but spent much of his time in Italy. Landon mentions him as an artist distinguished for the richness of his compositions and the purity of his style, and describes three of his pictures as being in the manner of Gaspard Poussin.
