Dieses Sklavenstatut wird zwar in den traditionellen Rechtsbüchern nirgends systematisch zusammengefaßt, gleichwohl haben wir es bei aller Vielfalt mit einer leidlich festumrissenen Institution zu tun, die hier skizziert werden soll.
