Houn Ohara (1908-1995) was the third headmaster of the Ohara School and was noted for creating Bunjin arrangements, inspired by Chinese scholar-artists and developing Rimpa arrangements, which drew inspiration from the decorative aesthetics of the historic Rimpa School of Japanese painting.
