The wide and diverse work of Martin Kippenberger (Dortmund 1953 -Vienna 1997) covers a great diversity of supports: sculpture, painting, installations and actions. His subversive humor and his provocative political stance was often a critique of art market strategies and the political system. Benedik Taschen is the most important collector of the works of Martin Kippenberger and has lent for this exhibition, on an exceptional basis, the most representative ones. In addition, works belonging to Albert Oehlen have been shown for the first time, who due to his proximity and friendship with the artist has a privileged collection. A total of 100 works, including paintings, installations, photographs and drawings, constitute the first solo exhibition of the German artist in Spain in a museum.
