Master of University College, Walker had be…en forced to travel during the interregnum and continued his travels during the restoration as well as publishing a number of books. Declaring himself a Catholic during James II's reign, he lost his status once more after the Glorious Revolution. ODNB describes him as ".one of the most productive scholars of Restoration Oxford", adding "his ghost is reputed to haunt staircase 8 of University College". Wing W403. First published 1672.
