Wight, including translations by Mary L. Booth. Title leaf is a cancel. Binding quite worn, with substantial cloth loss along the spine and at the extremities, exposing portions of the underlying structure. Closed tear to the binding cloth along the front joint. Translated from the original French into English by the editor. Six compartment spine with five raised ribs. Red leather label in compartment two with gilt series title; black leather label in compartment four with gilt short title. Black acorn ornaments and rulings stamped in the other compartments. Marbled edges and endpapers. Pencil inscription on front flyleaf dated 1861. Text block is age toned around the edges, but generally it is clean, unmarked, and square with a strong binding. Boards and spine are worn/rubbed with bumped corners. A strong little copy which is easy to read and use. Good condition overall.…
