'My dear Sir / Your favor of the 9- asking for a photograph to be used in your admirable publication is just received. / I have none that are at all suitable for your purpose but in Regent street at Mr Van der Weyde's studio I am quite sure you can get a very good one and I enclose an order for it, hoping you may get it without delay, fir I would be proud to figure among the artistic portraits done so well as the Figaro does them.'
