I think that just about covers everything - oh there area few brown spots to back of end-charts & possibly elsewhere. Weighs over 1.7 kg so allow for extra postage. Despite lib.marks, spine dustiness & other minor faults this remains an acceptable working/reference set of this lavishly produced work. Size: 17 Cms x 26 Cms.

Single volume edition reprinting in its entirety an early history of the state of New Hampshire spanning it's exploration and settling by white men in the 1620s, up to 1790. This includes the obligatory look at various wars and skirmishes, including the Revolutionary War, as well as notable people, early settlements, etc. GOOD+ condition. Presumably a rebind of some sort. Minor fading, scuffing and edgewear. Interior with minor toning. Small area of dampstaining to the lower margin of the first several pages. Many pages unopened along their top edges.

Intriguing, undeciphered contemporary signature at top of title page, likely an association item. Front hinge starting but sound. Endpapers and scattered pages are foxed, some heavily, else good+. "Elements of Psychology Included in a Critical Examination of Locke's Essay on the Human Understanding, with Appendix to Cousin's Examination of Locke, Notes and Additions". A 19th century classic. The ideas presented in Cousin's work were very influential in the development of American philosophy and educational thought. Specifically Cousin's method of viewing ideas either of logical or chronological terms, and his examination of Kant - were influential in the work of Asa Mahan, early president of Oberlin and author of "A System of Intellectual Philosophy", 1845 which laid the foundation of the school's approach and philosophy. He was influential in early American philosophical thought, as evidenced by the American publication and translation of this work by Caleb Sprague Henry. Published in 1861, tissue guard paper for title page still intact. Inside board has named label with crest. 416 pages all intact and nice tight binding. The book also has a nice blue coloured, cotton, page marker. All pages, text and fabulous illustrations are in really good, clean, readable order. The odd and occasional foxing mark, hardly noticeable. A truly lovely book that would adorn any stylish library.
