Sylva Norman, a novelist and critic and second wife of Edmund Blunden has also written a verse on the front free-endpaper in which she claims the recipient of this book as her creditor. Graham Greene has contributed an essay on the religious aspect of Henry James and Edmund Blunden has written a piece about the First World War. D.H. Lawrence is the subject of another essay.
