Quite uncommon exhibition catalog for a show held at Howard University's Gallery of Art and celebrating artists from the Chicago Black Renaissance, including a young Charles White, whose painting "Fatigue" was on display. Coming a year after the Chicago's own "American Negro Exposition," this show was put together to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the proclamation of the Thirteenth Amendment. Includes a brief story of George Neal, who had died two years earlier, and his influence on the Chicago Black art community. Rare with only a few copies appearing at auction and two holdings in OCLC at Yale and the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
