Both titles inscribed by Mr. Charles Hawkins to St. George's Hospital Library (where the author originally studied). Charles Hawkins was surgeon to the hospital between 1774-92 and the Hawkins family was used by Francis Galton as an exemplar in 'Hereditary Genius.' Sellotape marks to inner margin of title page of the first work. Very occasional library stamp. Some faint marginal water marks to roughly first 30 pages of the first work. Scarce. (bs34).
