Overall good plus matching hardbacks, full red leather binding with the spine having five raised bands & gilt lettering. Covers edges ruled in gilt and all page edges are gold gilt, with beautifully designed speckled end papers. Bright gold gilt badge is also on the front cover of each volume. Minimal evidence that they are from a uk university, although there is a soft scar to the leather on the lower part of the spine where the sticker has been removed.
