Socio moral and cultural content. 5. Research on moral development. 6. Moral self construct. 7. Moral development in the information age. 8. Value educa…tion in India. Index. Education is universally acknowledged as one of the key inputs contributing to the process of national development. For development of human resources investment in education is essential in order to empower people with appropriate knowledge skills values and attitudes to enhance their quality of life to improve their productivity and to enable them to participate more fully in the development process. In the present context of global economy access to basic education is considered as a human right. Since the World Conference on Education for All held at Jomtien Thailand in 1990 there has been growing awareness among international agencies and national governments that the centralised administrative structures in education in developing countries lack adequate human financial and material resources to provide education for all. Since the Jomtien conference there has been growing emphasis on decentralisation of educational administration and management to provide access to basic education to children youth and adults who have been deprived of learning opportunities so far. The transfer of educational management from the central to the local level and local communities is considered as the effective way of reaching the unreached. In the Indian context educational administration takes place through collaborative efforts of central government state governments and local bodies. The constitution of India has made elaborate arrangements for distribution of governmental powers legislative administrative and financial between the union and the states. As education is on the concurrent list the central government and the state governments are expected to have a meaningful partnership for educational development in the country. The present book is an in depth study on the developmental aspects of education administration and administrative strategies based on psychological sociological and philosophical foundations. It is hoped that the book will serve as a good reference tool for teachers teacher students and students in general. 280 pp.

Concept of validity. 6. Qualitative methods in research. 7. Collaborative educational research. 8. Technologies in educational research. 9. Internet… as a research tool. Index. Research is a careful investigation leading to the discovery and interpretation of information. There are many different types of research that discover or reinterpret information collected by experimentation or observation and suggest practical applications or theoretical implications of that information. Research is the corners tone of any science including both the hard sciences such as chemistry or physics and the social or soft sciences such as psychology management or education. In scientific fields researchers often conduct experiments to test a hypothesis. Researchers may also investigate and synthesize what other researchers have already learned. In the social sciences and humanities research operates under the same principles of gathering evaluating and interpreting information. Every profession and professional activity has tools that help improve techniques and assure a quality product. Research is no exception. The research tools are often classified into three categories hardware software and methods or knowledge. Hardware tools may include hammers copy machines trucks computers or cell phones. Software tools relate to computer programmes such as word processing or date base programs and changeable forms such as written tests worksheets or rubrics. The methods of a profession refer to knowledge and understanding of the procedures involved. All three types of tools are typically necessary to every profession with research being no exception. By utilizing the necessary hardware mastering the use of selected software and gathering forms training observers or mastering the scientific method a researcher can develop a strong foundation on which to base his/her research. This book provides an authentic information on the development advantages and disadvantages of various research tools. It is designed to serve as a quick reference for researchers research guides post graduate students and all those concerned. 284 pp.

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - Microbiology as a science has expanded by leaps and bounds in the past few decades due to advancements in sophisticated instrumentation and recombinant DNA technology, which added a new dimension and revealed an understanding of the subject at the molecular level. Microorganisms are highly ubiquitou…s in nature and manifold in their activity. Interest in microbiology increased quite significantly due to the wide application of microorganisms in studying different biological processes. An attempt has been made to introduce the readers to several areas of microbiology and microbial biotechnology, and to provide insight into basic concepts of biology and practical applications of microorganisms. To assist the readers in understanding the text, several illustrations and figures have been incorporated in the current volume. The topics covered in this volume are arranged in such a way as to maintain the thread of continuity with Volumes One and Two as well as to make it easy for those who are not acquainted with Volumes One and Two of the series. The editors believe that the previous book of the series, Recent Advances in Microbiology, Volumes One and Two, would also be helpful to readers in strengthening their concepts about different areas of microbiology and microbial biotechnology. The present volume has been complied with the help of leading microbiologists from India and other countries, with an objective of providing current developments in the field of microbiology. This book will be useful for under- and postgraduate students, academicians, researchers and laboratory personnel from disciplines like microbiology, biochemistry, veterinary science, medicine, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, food science, environmental science, industrial microbiology and other allied biological sciences.
