First edition of this mixed-genre Canadian literary magazine. Octavo, original blue pictorial wrappers, illustrated. Signed and dated by Leonard Cohen on the table of contents, "Leonard Cohen 2002." Scarce early Cohen appearance from 1958 when he was 24 years old. Four of his poems are included, some of which do not appear elsewhere: 'Before the Story;' 'Poem for Marc Chagall;' 'Gift;' and 'Bait.' Also present are works by teacher and poet Louis Dudek who was the first influential teacher of Cohen at McGill University in Montreal, who encouraged Cohen to be a poet. In very good condition. Leonard Cohen was a Canadian singer-songwriter, poet, and novelist who gained acclaim for his introspective and melancholic music, creating memorable works like the timeless 'Hallelujah' and his first book 'Let Us Compare Mythologies.'. …
