Begründers zweier kommunistischer Parteien (der mexikanischen und der indischen) Manabendra Nath Roy (ursprünglich Narendra Nath Bhattacharya, 1887-1954). - In dieser Schrift erläutert Roy, die Notwendigkeit eine radikaldemokratische, indische Volkspartei zu gründen, um das Joch der britischen Herrschaft abzustreifen, und warum dies unter den gegenwärtigen Verhältnissen (vorerst) keine proletarische Klassenpartei sein könne. - Außerdem analysiert er die gegenwärtige Wirtschaftspolitik des British Empire in Indien u. übt Kritik an d. bürgerlichen Swaraj-Partei. Roy formuliert hier zugleich eine Idee, die er später in die Tat umsetzte, die Gründung einer solchen radikaldemokratischen Partei während des Zweiten Weltkrieges. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war Roy im Gegensatz zu anderen anti-kolonialen Kräften in Indien der Auffassung, die britische Armee sei im Kampf gegen die faschistischen Achsenmächte zu unterstützen, da deren Sieg fatale Auswirkungen auf das Emanzipationspotenzial in der ganzen Welt haben würde. Roy konnte diesbezüglich eine fundierte Einschätzung treffen, da er über die Komintern über hervorragende Beziehungen zu deutschen Kommunist:innen verfügte und auch mit einer deutschen Kommunistin verheiratet war und somit den Aufstieg des Nazi-Faschismus und den Kampf gegen ihn aus nächster Nähe beobachten konnte.
