In original paper. First edition. Illustrated with 20 examples of musical notation. First edition. In original paper. 18 p. Cover by Bertold Löffler. Bertold Löffler (1874-1960) began his studies at the Reichenberg School of Drawing in Northern Bohemia, and continued with Franz Matsch, Carl Otto Czeschka and Koloman Moser at the Kunstgewerbeschule (School of Applied Arts) in Vienna from 1890 in 1900. He also learned the technique of mural painting and collaborated in 1903 on the execution of the fresco for the dome of the Sainte-Brigitte chapel in Vienna. From 1904 he taught at the Kunststichereischule (Artistic Embroidery School) then at the Kunstgewerbeschule from 1907 to 1935, where he replaced C. O. Czeschka in the painting class and the printing workshop. Highly appreciated by the Viennese public, in 1905 he founded the "Wiener Keramik" ceramic workshops with Michael Powolny, who in 1908 created a sales cooperative in association with the Wiener Werkstatte. Bertold Löffler's creations extend to all areas of graphic art: typography, posters, illustrations, ex-libris, postage stamps, calendars; he drew for the magazine Ver Sacrum, created jewelry for the Wiener Werkstatte, and participated in a large number of important exhibitions of his time. He worked on the decoration of the Palais Stoclet in Brussels. . Very small missing of the cover on the top left corner. Inside fine. Illustrated with 20 examples of musical notation. (illustrator).
