In den WarenkorbDraft script for the 1967 absurdist one-act play. Copy belonging to actress Tresa Hughes, who has heavily annotated the script throughout. Accompanying the script is a press photograph shot of playwright Murray Schisgal, shot on the opening night of the play, next to the poster showing the names of Hacman, Hughes, and other acto…rs. Laid in are several carbon typescript leaves with information about the company personnel associated with the play, as well as revision leaves. Hughes was nominated for a Tony award for Best Actress for her role in the 1961 production of "The Devil's Advocate." Accompanying the script is a vintage press photograph of playwright Murray Schisgal, standing next to a poster for the play, with a snipe on the verso noting how the play represents his return to off-Broadway after Broadway success and international success with "Luv." Schisgal would gone on to further success as a playwright, as well as a screenwriter, his most notable film being "Tootsie" (1982). "Fragments" also starred a young Gene Hackman, who at the time had starred in a handful of movies ("Lilith," "Hawaii," "A Covenant with Death") and over a dozen television appearances ("Naked City," "Route 66," "The F.B.I.") The play premiered on October 2, 1967, off-Broadway, at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Black generic contemporary wrappers, with a handwritten label crediting playwright Schisgal. Title page present, with credits for playwright Schisgal. 60 leaves, mimeograph duplication, with carbon typescript revision pages on onionskin throughout, dated 8/21/67 or 8/25/67, with three revision pages laid in dated 9/15/67.
