Fellows (1902-1984) her doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania (Petrographs of the New World) in 1936 and began to write books for children on the subjects she knew well. End papers are more notably foxed. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends, with fraying cloth and small splits. Book has a slight forward lean. Boards have minor damp and dust stains. Board corners are bumped.

Slight crushing to spine ends. Unclipped jacket has heavy edgewear with areas of loss, heavy tears, chips, and creasing. Light tanning to spine and edges. Paper worn away to spine. Wear marks and foxing overall.
