Mudd. This edition contains two new chapters: "Descendants of Dr. Samuel Alexander Mudd" prepared by Richard D. Mudd, and "Letters Not in Original Edition--Dr. Mudd's Pardon." There also are two new illustrations: Dr. and Mrs. Richard D. Mudd sitting on the couch on which John Wilkes Booth was examined on April 15, 1865 by Dr. Samuel A. Mudd, and Dr. Samuel A. Mudd Home where Dr. Mudd set Booth's broken leg.
