Erstausgabe
Softcover. Zustand: Good. Presumed first edition (most likely the only edition). Folio. Two nested bifolia making eight pages. Owner name above the music, outer bifolium separated along the fold though both leaves are present, inner bifolium largely separated along the fold, edgewear including chips and tears, a complete but good only copy, though still perfectly usable for either performing or framing. For voice and piano. Plate imprint, "Love's own sweet way. 6." The back cover features short samples of three other songs. The front cover features a monochrome portrait of Ella Wheeler Wilcox. Unrecorded by *OCLC* and it appears to be equally scarce in the trade. In fact, we cannot find these lyrics published anywhere else; though there is a chance that they were printed in a 1912 issue of *The New York Journal-American* as the copyright is credited to William Randolph Hearst, owner of the *Journal* to which Wilcox was a regular contributor. A rare piece.
