Dunlop from JWM', dated 1906.Illustrated with a frontispiece.Scottish Justice of the Peace John William Morkill offers a discussion of relics of the nobleman the Marquis of Montrose, who was executed in Edinburgh in 1650. He fought the civil war in Scotland on behalf of the King, and his relics passed on to his only daughter. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Wraps detached to heads and tails, but otherwise firmly held. Wraps age toned, with significant spotting and handling marks. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, with only the odd handling mark. Very Good. signed by author. book.
