Hardcover. Zustand: Good+. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fair. G. M. Burd, Violet Moore Higgins (illustrator). 1st Edition. See photos for condition details: hardcover with original dust jacket. DJ is quite tattered, with heavy wear and chipping to the edges. The jacket is also scuffed and soiled. The illustrated paper covered boards underneath have always been protected by the DJ but there is still bumps/wear to the edges and both spine tips are frayed with the lower portion missing the extreme edge. Edges of the exterior also darkened. The interior binding is good, no hinge issues found. Both pastedowns and opposite end pages are spotted and foxed, particularly in the gutters. The remaining text pages are toned with scattered foxing and smudge marks. No handwriting, no bookplates, no library markings etc.
