A collotype facsimile of the page from Harvey's copy of Speght's 'Chaucer' containing the earliest recorded notice of Shakespear's 'Hamlet' is housed in a pocket on the inside of the book's rear board. Deckled edges. With a black silk ribbon marker. With two black and white plates. A very good copy, the binding square and firm, the extremities lightly rubbed and bumped, the left side of the spine and title label have a liquid mark, and the title label is toned and a little torn. The contents, with faint offsetting to the endpapers and marks to the rear endpapers, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Many pages are uncut. The facsimile page is in near fine condition, with very slight creasing at the corners. Issued in a limited edition of 780 copies, this example is numbered 456.
