Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.

First chapter is about Admiral Byrd in Antarctica, second chapter about searching for hidden temples in Yucatan and chapter 3 about the voyage of the Hobby and Fram led by Amundsen and Riiser-Larsen to the Arctic Seas in 1925. On board they had 2 planes with which they reached 87 degrees North.
